Angie DeFilippi
Angie DeFilippi is a Board Certified, Nationally Certified Counselor that specializes in perinatal anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, parenting skills, and child and adolescent counseling.
She is trained in Child Centered Play Therapy, Child Parent Relationship Training, Sandtray Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and in treating perinatal anxiety and mood disorders. Angie practices from an integrative, person-centered approach.
She also uses a variety of therapeutic techniques in cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and creative arts therapies.
Angie has a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with a focus in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a concentration in Play Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is currently pursuing her credentials as a Registered Play Therapist. In addition, Angie has a Master of Science degree in Global Health from Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden, and she is a Certified Health Education Specialist.
